What you type stays on your phone. We only see it if you press "Send these to us on WhatsApp" or "Send them by email form" further down. It is kept on this phone, so it is here when you come back.

How it works

  1. Type your pub and your burgers and grills.

Example. A phone showing the step "What do you sell?" for The Old Bridge Pub: a line and its price being typed, and the menu beside them with the lines typed so far.
  2. Pick how it looks.

Example. A phone showing the step "Pick how it looks": the menu for The Old Bridge Pub on the left and the same words in other looks on the right, one of them chosen.
  3. Change the colours, if you like.

Example. A phone showing the same step with "More colours" open and one colour chosen: the menu for The Old Bridge Pub is in that colour.
  4. Share it on WhatsApp, or print it.

Example. The finished menu for The Old Bridge Pub filling a phone screen, and the same picture printed on a page stuck to a wall.

The pictures show examples with made-up places and prices.

Run a weekly deal? Put it on a free page people can open.

A Weekly Eats page shows your specials by day, in your own words, with the price where there is one.

Listing is free. Nothing goes on the page until you have checked it and published it.

How listing works

Or type your place name and an item above. Then you can send them to us from here.

How do we check it is your place?

To make sure it is really your place, we set it up with the email address your place shows publicly, on its website, Google or Facebook. If it shows no email, we phone the number it lists and ask you to confirm by email. A phone call alone is not enough. So we can only set up a page when we can check the place is yours from something it already shows publicly. If your place has nothing online yet, we cannot set one up from here, and the poster maker stays free to use. If you message us on WhatsApp, message from the number your place shows publicly.

What goes on a pub food menu

1Snacks at the top
Put the bar snacks first, the small dishes a guest orders while they sit down. The burgers, the grills and the baskets follow, in their own sections.
2And chips in the name
Write "and chips" in the name when the chips come with the dish, like "Pub burger and chips". Then no one has to ask what the price includes.
3Burgers in their own section
Burgers are a section of their own, with one line for each one. A burger in two sizes goes on one line with both prices, under All options.
4Baskets for sharing
A basket is a plate for two or more people, like wings or fish. Give the baskets a section of their own, so a table sees the shares at a glance.
5Food only, in sections
This page is the food. A short list in sections is quicker to read at a table than a long one, so keep each dish to one line.
6Where the menu goes
Print the printer page (A4) for the bar and the half page (A5) for each table. Post the tall picture on WhatsApp Status when a dish comes off or goes on.
7The days go on the poster
A special for one day of the week, like a Monday burger or a Sunday roast, goes on the pub specials poster, with its tab for the day. This menu is the list that stays up.

A pub food menu, step by step

The menu has four sections: bar snacks, burgers, grills and baskets. Type each dish with its price, one section at a time. The line at the foot gives the kitchen hours.

Tips

  1. Write "and chips" in the name when the chips come with the dish.
  2. Keep the dish names short, so the picture reads at a glance.
  3. Give the baskets their own section, so a table sees the shares.
  4. Use the note at the foot for your kitchen hours and where you are.
  5. Keep the day-by-day specials on the pub specials poster.

Questions

Can I list a burger in two sizes?
Yes. In the burgers section, tick the two-price box under All options and type the two names, like Single and Double, in the boxes First price is and Second price is.
Can I show the day's specials here?
Not here. The day-by-day specials go on the pub specials poster, which has a tab for each day. Keep this page for the food that stays on the menu.
Can I add a photo of the food?
Yes, if you want one. The photo box is under All options, and it can stay empty.
Can I take a dish off the menu for a while?
Yes. Take its line out, save a new picture and post it, then add the line back when the dish is on again.

What you type is kept in this browser on this device until you clear your browser data, so you can come back, change a price and save a new picture. A photo and a logo are optional and are not kept for the next visit.
