What happens after you send

  1. Send a photo of your board on WhatsApp, or type your specials into the form.
  2. We check the place is yours, by something it shows publicly, like its email address, and set up your page with your specials.
  3. You open your owner page, check each special and press Publish. Nothing is public before that.
  4. A week before a special ends, or after four weeks, we email to ask if it is still on. One tap keeps it on.

Your page shows your phone number, and we take no commission. Tick "My phone number is on WhatsApp" in the portal and diners get a WhatsApp button on your page.

For WhatsApp Status, Facebook and Instagram, plus a poster and a QR card to print, in your colours. They are drawn from the specials you publish, in your words.

What it costs

Free to list. Listing on Weekly Eats is free. We take no payment details.

A month's notice of any charge. If we ever charge for listing, we will email you at least one month before, and you can leave without paying anything.

Your specials are public. We may also pass them on to partner apps and services so more people see them. You can ask us to stop at any time by email.

Is anyone using it yet?

Weekly Eats is new. There is no audience here yet, and we are not promising you one. That is why listing is free: you are going first, and what we ask in return is that you tell us what is wrong with it. Your page and pictures are yours to send your own customers from the first day.

How do you know it is my place?

To make sure it is really your place, we set it up with the email address your place shows publicly, on its website, Google or Facebook. If it shows no email, we phone the number it lists and ask you to confirm by email. A phone call alone is not enough. So we can only set up a page when we can check the place is yours from something it already shows publicly. If your place has nothing online yet, we cannot set one up from here, and the poster maker stays free to use. Nothing goes on your page until you publish it yourself.

Do I need a photo?

No. A special goes out without one. If you want one, take it on your phone or choose one you already have, when you publish or any time after. Make it the dish itself, not a poster or menu: on a phone a poster is too small to read, and your special is already written out. We look at your first photo before it shows.

How long does a special stay up?

Until the end date you set, which can be up to eight weeks away. We email you about a special a week before it ends, and after four weeks with no confirmation. Confirming keeps it on your page for another four weeks. One you set to run for less keeps its own end date. A special nobody confirms comes off the page on its end date. Your page itself stays up. If you set a special to start later, we may also ask once, a few days before it starts, whether it is still on.

Can I take a special down?

Yes. Press Withdraw and confirm. It leaves the site within a few minutes.
