What goes on a braai pack poster
- 1One pack, one line
- Each braai pack is one special: its name, with what is in it and its weight, and its price on the same line. "Braai pack: wors, chops, steak, 2 kg" is one line, with the price beside it.
- 2What is in the pack
- Name the pieces one after another: boerewors, chops, steak. A customer reading the poster sees what they take home without asking, and two or three pieces fit the line best.
- 3The weight after the pieces
- Put the weight at the end of the name, as "2 kg" or "3 kg", so one pack reads apart from another. The price is for the whole pack, not for a kilogram.
- 4The days each pack runs
- A special starts on every day. On the price step, press "Change the days" and choose the days the pack runs: a weekend pack is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- 5Only the packs you can make
- Take a pack off the poster in a week you cannot make it, then save a new picture, so the poster matches what is in the cooler.
- 6A family pack on the same poster
- A bulk pack to take home can be one more line, with its weight and its days. Keep it with the braai packs, so the poster reads as one weekend offer.
- 7Where the poster goes
- Post the tall picture on WhatsApp Status on the Thursday before the weekend. Print the printer page (A4) for the window, and the half page (A5) for the counter where the packs are paid for.

A braai pack poster, step by step
The poster has three packs. The two braai packs run Friday to Sunday, and the family pack runs on the Saturday and the Sunday. Type each pack with its weight and its price, then choose its days. The heading says the packs are for this weekend, and the line at the foot asks for orders by Thursday night.
Tips
- Name the pieces the way the butcher says them: chops, boerewors, steak.
- Put the weight after the pieces, so a 2 kg pack and a 3 kg pack read apart.
- Set each pack to the days you can make it, not to the whole week.
- Put the biggest pack last, where the eye finishes.
- Use the line at the foot for the last day to order.
Sizes and printing
- Tall, for WhatsApp Status
- Tall like a phone screen. Best for WhatsApp Status and for Stories.
- Square, for a post
- Square. Best for a post on Facebook or Instagram.
- Printer page (A4)
- A4 is the size of a normal printer page. Print it at home or at a print shop. A home printer leaves a thin white edge.
- Half page (A5)
- A5 is half of a normal printer page. Good for a counter. A home printer leaves a thin white edge.
Questions
- Can I show a pack that runs on one day only?
- Yes. Choose that one day for the special, and the poster shows it against that pack alone.
- Can I leave the weight out of a pack name?
- You can, but the weight tells the buyer how big the pack is, so keep it. Put "2 kg" at the end of the name, after the pieces.
- Does the poster show a price per kilogram?
- Only if you type it. A line holds one price. A pack has the price of the whole pack, and a cut sold by weight has "per kg" in its name, like "Rump steak, per kg".
- Can I put my logo on the braai poster?
- Yes. The box for your photo and your logo is under All options, and you can leave both out. Neither is sent to us.
- What size does a printed braai poster come out at?
- An A4 poster is the size of a normal printer page, and an A5 poster is half of that. Print it is on the Get your picture step, and you get a picture file.
What you type is kept in this browser on this device until you clear your browser data, so you can come back, change a price and save a new picture. A photo and a logo are optional and are not kept for the next visit.
