How it works

What goes on a boerewors roll poster

1A sale on one day
A wors roll sale may run on one day only, outside a shop, a school or a church. Give each roll that one day, and the poster shows the rolls under it.
2Say what is in the roll
Name the extras in the line, like onions and tomato relish or cheese. A buyer reading the poster sees what they get without asking.
3A roll with a drink
A roll and a cold drink for one price is one more line, with the price for both. Keep it under the plain rolls, so the poster reads from the plain roll up.
4The days each roll is sold
Each line runs on the days you sell it. On the price step, press "Change the days" and choose the days, so a Saturday stand shows Saturday.
5Only what you sell
Take a roll off the poster on a day you run out of it, then save a new picture, so the poster matches what is on the braai.
6Where the poster goes
Post the tall picture on WhatsApp Status the day before you sell. Print the printer page (A4) for the stand, and the half page (A5) for the counter where the rolls are paid for.
7Till sold out
Rolls come off the fire as they sell, so use the line at the foot for when you start and that you sell until the wors runs out. The example says "Saturdays from 10 till sold out".

A boerewors roll poster, step by step

The poster has four rolls, each on the Saturday: the plain roll, a roll with onions and tomato relish, a cheese roll and a roll with a cold drink. Type each roll with its price, then choose its days. The line at the foot says when the stand is open. The rolls are listed from the plain one up, so the buyer reads the plain roll first and the extras after it.

Tips

  1. Name the extras in the line, so a buyer knows what they are getting.
  2. Put the plain roll first, then the ones with extras and the drink.
  3. Set every roll to the sale day, so the poster shows that day alone.
  4. Use the line at the foot for the hours and when you sell out.

Questions

Can I sell one roll on another day?
Yes. Press "Change the days" on that roll's price step and choose its day. The poster then shows each day with its own rolls.
Can I put a drink on the same poster?
Yes. Make the drink a line of its own, or put it on the roll line, like "Wors roll and cold drink".
Can I put a logo on the poster?
Yes. Add your logo, and a photo if you like, from the boxes under All options. Both are optional, and neither is sent to us.
What size does a printed roll poster come out at?
A4 is a full printer page, for the stand. A5 is half of one, for the table where the rolls are paid for. Print it is on the Get your picture step.

What you type is kept in this browser on this device until you clear your browser data, so you can come back, change a price and save a new picture. A photo and a logo are optional and are not kept for the next visit.

How do we check it is your place?

To make sure it is really your place, we set it up with the email address your place shows publicly, on its website, Google or Facebook. If it shows no email, we phone the number it lists and ask you to confirm by email. A phone call alone is not enough. So we can only set up a page when we can check the place is yours from something it already shows publicly. If your place has nothing online yet, we cannot set one up from here, and the poster maker stays free to use. If you message us on WhatsApp, message from the number your place shows publicly.
