How it works

What goes on a now open poster

1The name first
The heading is the name of the place, or Now open, so a passer-by knows what the poster is for in a second.
2Opening specials, one line each
Each special is one line: its name and its price on the same line. "Quarter chicken and chips" is one line, with its price beside it.
3The days each special runs
A special with all seven days ticked runs all week. On the price step, press "Change the days" and choose the days, like Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a family meal.
4The hours in the line at the foot
Say when you are open in the line at the foot, such as "Open every day, 9 to 8", so a buyer knows when to come.
5Only true opening offers
Show only the specials you are selling now. Take one off the poster when it ends, then save a new picture, so the poster matches the counter.
6Where the poster goes
Post the tall picture on WhatsApp Status for the first week. Print the printer page (A4) for the window, and the half page (A5) for the counter where orders are paid for.

A now open poster, step by step

The poster has three specials. The quarter chicken and the two-piece deal run every day. The family meal runs on the Friday, the Saturday and the Sunday. Type each special with its price, then choose its days. The hours sit in the line at the foot. They are the last line, so a passer-by reads the name, the offers and the time in one go.

Tips

  1. Keep Now open in the heading and the place's name under it.
  2. Keep the opening specials to three or four, so the poster reads from a distance.
  3. Set each special to the days it runs, not to the whole week, unless it does.
  4. Put the hours in the line at the foot.
  5. Take a special off the poster when it ends, and save a new picture.

Questions

Can I show a special that runs on a weekend only?
Yes. Choose Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the special, and the poster shows it against those days.
Can I put my logo on it?
Yes. Add your logo, and a photo if you like, from the boxes under All options. Both are optional, and neither is sent to us.
Can I change the specials after I post it?
Yes. Open this page, change the special or its days, and save a new picture. Post the new picture as well, as the old one stays where it was posted.
What size is a printed now open poster?
A4 fills a printer page and A5 is half of one. Choose on the Get your picture step; it saves a picture file.

What you type is kept in this browser on this device until you clear your browser data, so you can come back, change a price and save a new picture. A photo and a logo are optional and are not kept for the next visit.

Sizes, printing and saving

You get a picture to post, and a bigger one to print on a normal printer page (A4) or half a page (A5), not a Word file. Free, no account, and nothing is uploaded: the picture is made on your device.

How do we check it is your place?

To make sure it is really your place, we set it up with the email address your place shows publicly, on its website, Google or Facebook. If it shows no email, we phone the number it lists and ask you to confirm by email. A phone call alone is not enough. So we can only set up a page when we can check the place is yours from something it already shows publicly. If your place has nothing online yet, we cannot set one up from here, and the poster maker stays free to use. If you message us on WhatsApp, message from the number your place shows publicly.
